Alex Righi, Intern Therapist

Hey there, my name is Alex and I’m a Master’s of Social Work student at Arizona State University. I have often found myself questioning the unhealthy areas of my life, from my first career in sales to relationships that no longer served me in a positive way. Life is full of twists and challenges that we cannot always overcome alone. I had to pivot and ask for help, I’m glad that you can too.
I have a passion for helping young people, specifically teenagers and children. My past experiences in Counseling for both schools (K-5) and summer camps (ages 13-17) have allowed me to help people navigate depressive symptoms, anxiety symptoms, anger management, coping skills, and mindfulness. Over the past five years I have utilized solution-focused, emotion regulation, and strength-based practices to support the folks I’ve worked with. Much of my own work towards self-improvement began when I was a teenager, helping other young people realize the best version of themselves is something that deeply resonates with me.
Our society condemns open and honest connection, endorsing people to live behind screens and devices. Within our work, we will peel back the curtain of technology and create an atmosphere that does not hide emotion, connection, or authenticity. Therapy is a space to be your true self, come as you are and I will meet you where you are at.
We are all trying to figure out the game of life. When I’m not navigating my education or work I am often playing hockey, watching sports, gaming, or cooking with my loved ones. I seek balance within my life so that I can continue to show-up for those who need me, including you. If you think I am a good fit for your needs, I would love to talk about how I can best show up for your goals.
