Mimi (Xiaojun) Jiang, Pre-Licensed Counselor

You might be used to being the one who holds it all together, the dependable one who keeps things steady for others. Over time, balancing family expectations, cultural values, relationships, and your own goals can start to feel like a lot. Therapy is a space where you don’t have to carry all of that alone or have everything figured out.

I'm a pre-licensed therapist based in Phoenix, Arizona (near the 85004 area), offering both in-person counseling and virtual therapy for clients anywhere in Arizona. I work primarily with young adults, college students, Asian and Asian American clients, international students, first-generation individuals, and LGBTQ+ adults navigating anxiety, depression, stress, burnout, identity, relationships, and major life transitions. Many of my clients are balancing more than one culture or language while trying to build a life that feels true to who they are. I also provide therapy in Mandarin (普通话) for clients who feel more comfortable expressing themselves in their native language.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and genuine. I want therapy to feel like a conversation where you can show up exactly as you are, whether you're feeling anxious, questioning your identity, struggling with self-esteem, working through family conflict, or trying to make sense of a difficult season of life. I believe meaningful change begins with feeling understood, and as we build trust, I'll ask thoughtful questions that encourage deeper reflection, new perspectives, and lasting growth.
Together we'll explore the patterns, beliefs, and experiences that may be keeping you stuck so you can move toward greater confidence, healthier relationships, and a stronger sense of self. My goal isn't to tell you who you should be. It's to help you better understand yourself and create a life that feels authentic and fulfilling.

I offer LGBTQ+ affirming, culturally responsive therapy in a welcoming, nonjudgmental environment where every part of your story is respected. If you're searching for a therapist near downtown Phoenix, a Mandarin-speaking therapist in Arizona, or virtual counseling anywhere in the state, I'd be glad to help. Reach out to schedule a free consultation and see if we're a good fit.
