Riana Burnett, LCSW

My name is Riana, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I completed my Master’s in Social Work from Arizona State University in 2020 and have been working in the behavioral health field since 2016. With nearly a decade of experience, I have worked both in outpatient and inpatient settings with varying clientele, including children in the foster care system, children with high acuity behavioral health needs, adults and juveniles with a history of sexual offenses, as well as a range of general mental health concerns (depression, anxiety, mood disorders, etc.). I have extensive experience in working with individuals with Borderline Personality Disorder and Complex PTSD, and consider these to be my go-to populations!

Therapy with me is not a one-size-fits-all perspective. My sessions with you are tailored to what it is you need for that day. I embrace a client-centered perspective, and utilize the modalities that I have been trained in – Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy – to help you achieve your therapy goals. Our sessions will be lead by YOU – what is it that you need in this moment? Learning how to self-advocate and identify our own needs is a struggle I recognize in many and aim to assist with. Your goals can be whatever you’d like them to be – learning how to better regulate your emotions, learning healthy boundaries with others, or even the more difficult tasks of understanding and working through struggles associated with BPD and/or C-PTSD.

When I’m not being a therapist, you can find me hanging out with my pitbull Beni (who occasionally makes an appearance, if permitted, during telehealth sessions), going to the dog park, hanging out with friends, baking, and hiking (when it's not 1000 degrees!)
