Amber Block-Zambrano, LMSW
I am a licensed master social worker with over 10 years of experience in social work and an innate passion for helping others. I have had the pleasure of assisting countless families and individuals from birth to end of life in navigating hardships mentally, physically, and financially. I have worked on all levels of social work through case management, therapy, and policy work; everywhere from homes, hospitals, to the state capitol. My drive to help others has led me to therapy and directly supporting others in their healing journey. My passion for service is especially directed at underrepresented communities. I understand there is power in being heard, seen and validated and I pride myself in allowing my clients the space for that.
I use a combination of Eye movement desensitization reprocessing (EMDR), motivational interviewing (MI), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), solution focused therapy (SFT), and mindfulness to help people navigate trauma, anxiety, depression, self esteem, relationships, and other issues.
As we develop our therapeutic relationship, we will work together to understand your personal and generational history so you can move forward with compassion for your experiences but also work towards desired change. I honor my clients right to self determination and to be the “captain of their ship”; while I assist with direction from time to time.
I hope to move all my clients towards a deeper level of self love, self care and self compassion. If you are considering me to support you on your healing journey, please reach out for a 15 minute consultation.
