Enrique Urbina, Social Work Intern

Hi, I’m Enrique. I’m currently pursuing my Bachelor of Social Work at Grand Canyon University and interning at Brazen Therapy.

My passion for social work grew out of my own journey with trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and depression. Experiencing the impact compassionate support can have inspired me to become the kind of person who walks alongside others as they navigate life’s challenges and move towards healing.Through my work in behavioral health, I’ve supported children, adolescents, and families with a variety of emotional and behavioral needs. These experiences have strengthened my passion for helping others build resilience, develop healthy coping skills, and recognize their own strengths. I believe everyone deserves to feel seen, heard, and supported.

My approach is warm, collaborative, trauma-informed, and strengths-based. I strive to create a welcoming space where every person feels valued, respected, and empowered to work towards their goals.

Outside of social work, you usually find me leading worship, spending time with family and friends, or hunting down a good cup of coffee.
