I believe that as human beings we heal through connecting emotionally with other human beings. It’s not necessarily the talking that heals us, but the being heard. Allowing all the different parts of you to tell their stories will allow for greater self-understanding, and therefore increased self-compassion. As Maya Angelou writes, "there is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you." Therapy comes from the heart, and I hope to show my own humanity and humility and empower you to know that you know your story best. I am LGBTQIA2S+ allied, and I take systems of oppression into account when working with you.

Therapy can be daunting, but it is a journey of self-discovery. you deserve to know yourself, and thus, have a nurturing relationship with yourself. Let’s create a safe place for wounded parts of you to be able to show up and be heard. Meeting these parts with openness and curiosity is the first step in nurturing healing within ourselves.

I employ existential therapy to get to deeper themes of your experience and integrate parts work and Jungian shadow work to guide you back to your authentic self. These practices will bring to light deeper wounds that would benefit from being addressed. Persian Poet Rumi writes, "the wound is the place where light enters you... where there is ruin, there is hope for treasure." If you're interested in how your past is impacting your present and want to work on healing trauma, let's connect. It is an honor to hear your story.

When I’m not in the office, I am engaging in my hobbies (learning languages, studying philosophy, astrology, and parts work), watching TV shows (Derry Girls, Brooklyn 99, Bake Off), and connecting with friends.
